Since the recent update, we believe that you have paid a lot of attention to the changes in the [Item Mechanism]. Taking this opportunity, we would like to present you with a detailed introduction. Some useful tips are also annexed at the end, don’t miss them!

Quality: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary
Color: White, Blue, Purple, Orange
Now, back to the subject, let’s have a look at the [Item Mechanism]:

【Item Drop & Item Shop】
I. Item Drop
There have been 3 changes:
【1st Change】Removed “drop rate” notion from the Item Drop mechanism. As a result, you will only get one Item by killing the main creep. This change was made for the purpose that every player will have an equal number of Items through the “Item Drop”;
【2nd Change】
1) In Round 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30:
Each round, you are guaranteed 1 common Item drop after killing the main creep.
2) In Round 40:
After being killed, one creep will grant you 1 common Item and the other one will grant you 1 rare Item.
3) In Round 35, 40, 45, and 50:
Each round, you are guaranteed 1 rare Item drop after killing the main creep.
These changes were made for a stable number of Items to be obtained at the middle stage around Round 40.
【3rd Change】 The new changes:
1) In Round 10, 15 ,20, 25, 30 and 35:
Each round, you are guaranteed 1 common Item drop after killing the main creep.
Remark: now in Round 35, you could only get a [Common] Item instead of a [Rare] one from the Black Dragon King. This change was in line with the changes of the Item Shop, players could now try getting their wanted Legendary Items. And the number of obtained Items won't be much impacted.
2) In Round 40 (Glacier Clan):
After being killed, one creep will grant you 1 common Item and the other one will grant you 1 rare Item. (no changes)
3) In Round 45 and 50:
Each round, you are guaranteed 1 rare Item drop after killing the main creep.
* Main Creep: generally, it refers to the strongest creep in the round. If we take these 3 golems as the example, the biggest one in White is the main creep.
3 special cases:
- In Lethal Ursa round, Ursa Kira (the red one) has shorter ATK rate, so it is the main creep who will drop 1 Item when being killed;
- In Wildwing Ripper round, the black one is defined to be the main creep;
- In Glacier Clan round, Glacier Fire Hunter (on the left) will drop one rare Item, while Glacier Frost Hunter drops a common Item;
II. Item Shop
Former mechanism: start from the Round 25, there will be chances to have at least one rare Item at the Item Shop (the probability will be increased from around 60% to 99% round by round)
New mechanism: start from Round 30, there will be only rare Items at the Item Shop. As we mentioned above, this adjustment is intended to help players get their favored legendary Items more efficiently.
【Item Heritage】
This is also a topic that everyone is concerned. In order to balance the total value of obtained Item for all players, we are working on some optimizations and will release them soon in the future.
【Some Tips】
Based on the explanation above, we’d like to share some tips with you:
- When fighting against Wolf Pack 1(Round 15), it’s better to reverse the position of your Tank and DPS to ensure a victory;
- When facing the Wildwing Ripper (Round 25), you could put those stronger chess pieces on the left to assure at least one Item via Item Drop. By the way, Swamp Wildwing has a certain magic resistance but no armor, so a physical ranged attacker would be a good choice;
- When facing the Glacier Clan (Round 40), gathering your chess pieces to guarantee a better environment for your AOE type chess pieces;
- Don’t forget to deploy some chess pieces with single target control ability to beat the Black Dragon King (Round 45) and the Nian Beast (Round 45)
